11-12 March the II Scientific conference “Current Problems of Religious Studies” took place at the Philosophy Faculty of Moscow State University and Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox University. On the 12th of March Elena Prutskova and Kirill Markin presented a report “Approaches to the construction of a generalized indicator of religiosity in empirical sociological research”. The paper examines several approaches to designing a general indicator of religiosity, and a typology of Orthodox believers is based on the first wave of the study “Orthodox Monitor” held in 2011. The report was prepared within the framework of the program of PSTGU Development.
