In the period from 2015 till 2018 as part of the project “Social work of Russian Orthodox Church in XXI century” the Monitoring aimed at the investigation of church social work and its perfprmers was carried out. Yearly we’ve launched online survey for people, who passed the special training course by The Synodal Department for Church charity and social service of Moscow patriarchate. Questionnaire was designed not only for feedback which is valuable for Synodal Departement, but also for getting more information about various aspects of church social work, such as: popular activities, level of participation, volunteering, cooperation of priests and laity, funding, and so on.
For now there are five waves in common, and the results of the first three were already presented: I and II wave are covered in a monograph “Partnership parish”: cooperation of priests and laity in the development of the Russian Orthodox Church parishes social work in the beginning of the XXI century and the analysis of the wave III is available here. The recent report contains data for the two latest waves held in 2017 and 2018, as well as dynamics of main indicators throughout the whole period of investigation (2015-2018):
