On the 16th of December 2022 the conference “Family. Church. World” was held in the Khabarovsk Theological Seminary.
Archpriest Nikolay Emeliyanov made a presentation «Priest vs psychologist. The priest as a significant “other” in families», prepared within the framework of research-project “The Paradox of Interrelation between Religion and Family in Modern Russia (Research grant RSF)”.
Ivan Pavlyutkin’s presentation was dedicated to the topic «How the Sense of Community Arises in Marriage: The Logic of Mutuality in the Narratives of Women from Large Families» and was based on the results of the research-project “The Paradox of Interrelation between Religion and Family in Modern Russia (Research grant RSF)”.
The third speaker from the “Sociology of religion” was deacon Dimitri Markov, member of research team of the project “Awareness of family life by young couples. Conceptualization and operationalization of categories related to communion in marriage (supported by Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox University and the Active Tradition Foundation)”, with a presentation “The Problem of the Correlation between Religiosity and Fertility: Based on Interviews with Priests Families of the Russian Orthodox Church”.
