On the 14th and 15th of October, 2022 on the platform of Immanuel Kant Federal University (Kaliningrad) the V Congress of Russian Religious Studies Society was held. Ekaterina Yurchenko made a report “Function of the Godfather in modern Orthodoxy”. The material for the presentation was prepared as part of the project “The social significance of spiritual kinship in Russia” (as part of the research program of the he project was supported by Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox University and the Active Tradition Foundation in 2021-2023).
