From the 7th to 9th of October the Third Congress of Russian Researchers of Religion “Academic research and conceptualization of religion in the XXI century: the tradition and new challenges” took place with the participation of Vladimir State University and the Russian Association of Centers for Religious Studies.
On the 8th of October Elena Prutskova and Kirill Markin presented a report “Orthodox and churched. A new approach to the construction of a typology of Orthodox Russians”. The logic of churchedness index (V-index) developed by V.F.Chesnokova with some critical comments was presented in the report, and also a new typology of Orthodox Russians constructed by the authors of the report based on a nationwide survey Orthodox Monitor. The report was prepared within the framework of scientific research development fund of PSTGU in 2016.
