From 17th to 21th of June the International scientific conference EASR -2018: “Multiple Religious Identities” was held at the University of Bern.
On 18th of June Elena Prutskova participated in the session “Conceptual and theoretical reflections on terms and models” and presented a paper “Centrality of religiosity in four Christian denominations in Russia: minority vs. majority effect”. The study was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research within the framework of the project “Religion and patterns of social and economic organization. Elective affinity between religion and economy in Christian denominations in Switzerland and Russia” (No. 16-23-41006).
On 20th of June Kirill Markin participated in the session “The unseen forms of Russian Christianities” and presented a paper “Between belief and unbelief: non-practicing Orthodox Christianity”. On 21th of June Polina Batanova participated in the session on “the Marketization of religion: transnational and global developments” chaired by Francois Gauthier and presented a paper “Choose not to choose: young adults in “religious market” in contemporary Russia” based on the results of the international research project “Young adults and Religion in a global perspective”.
