4-7 July 2017 hosted at University of Lausanne, Switzerland, the 34th conference of International Society for Sociology of Religion with the tittle “Religion, Cooperation and Conflict in Diverse Societies” took place.
4 July Elena Prutskova presented a paper “The Social Component of Religiosity in Contemporary Orthodox Christianity” on a session “Religiosity: Analysis of International and National Quantitative Surveys”.
6 July on a session “Social Theory and Religion” Polina Batanova and Ivan Zabaev presented their papers. Batanova talked on “Conceptual Expressions of Sacred: theoretical foundations and methodological challenges” and Zabaev – on “Humility and The Gift: The Elective Affinity of Institutions and Ethics in Orthodox Christian Parishes”.
