On April 1, 2017, the Annual student conference of the Theological Faculty of the St. Tikhon’s Orthodox University was held.
At the conference Kirill Markin, a graduate student of the Department of Philosophy of Religion and Philosophical Aspects of Culture and a researcher at the “Sociology of Religion” laboratory, presented a report on the topic: “The problem of large, medium and small transcendences in the study of religiosity”, prepared within the framework of his dissertation research. The report examined the problematic issues in the theory of religion by Thomas Luckmann in the context of it’s application to the empirical study of religion in Russia.
