The collection contains translations of several articles by Pierpaolo Donati, an outstanding contemporary Italian sociologist who developed his own version of the so-called relational theory of society. In the first part of the collection, the theoretical foundations of his theory are presented, the second part is focused on its practical consequences and possible applications, for instance, in solving the problems of modern civil society and family policy. The collection can serve as a good overview of the main ideas of P. Donati and an introduction to his relational theory, especially since this is the first publication of his works in Russian.
